The idea of the level it comes from the analysis of the resources, the time and the kind of gameplay targeted. Constrained by the asset that are inside UDK, create a Oil platform in the middle of the ocean permit me to use all the exceptional features that are inside UDK like the water, the environmental lighting and the industrial assets in order to build a solid deathmatch gameplay.

Oil Fever
The map has been developed for Unreal Tournament using UDK and the assets in it. The goal of the project was learning how to use 3D game engine to generate a solid and entertainment gameplay.
Analyizing the assets that I had a disposal from UDK and looking for a good inspiration to find a design target I found out that an Oil Rig was the perfect place to create the map: the oil platform is a scenic environment, dangerous and explosive.
I had to pass through Photoshop and play with the scale of gray in order to make sure that the lighting set up of the map was showing clearly from any perspective the sense of depth.
